The research results of the lab, "Generative Retrieval as Multi-Vector Dense Retrieval," have won the Best Paper Honorable Mention Award at this conference. The first author of the paper is Wu Shiguang, a master's student from the 2023 cohort, and the corresponding author is researcher Ren Pengjie. Co-authors include Wei Wenda, an undergraduate from the 2021 Taishan Scholars, Assistant Professor Zhang Mengqi, Professor Chen Zhumin, Professor Ma Jun, Professor Ren Zhaochun from Leiden University, and Professor Maarten de Rijke from the University of Amsterdam. This is another outstanding achievement for the team following their recent consecutive wins of the Best Paper Honorable Mention Award at the prestigious international conference WSDM 2024 and the Outstanding Paper Award at EMNLP 2023.

SIGIR (International ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval) is the flagship conference in the field of information retrieval and is an A-level conference recommended by the China Computer Federation (CCF). This year's conference received 791 submissions for full papers, of which 160 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 20%.
