The research achievement "Debiasing Sequential Recommenders through Distributionally Robust Optimization over System Exposure" has won the Best Paper Honorable Mention Award at this conference. The first author of the paper is master's student Yang Jiyuan, and the corresponding author is Assistant Professor Xin Xin. Co-authors include Professor Ma Jun, Professor Chen Zhumin, Professor Ren Zhaochun, Researcher Ren Pengjie, Assistant Researcher Ding Yue, Associate Professor Cai Fei, and Researcher Zhang Rui. This is another outstanding work by the team following their recent receipt of the Outstanding Paper Award at another international top conference EMNLP 2023.

  WSDM is an international top conference in the field of information retrieval and data mining, recognized as a top-level A-class academic conference in computer science at Tsinghua University, and it enjoys a high academic reputation in the fields of internet search and data mining. This conference received a total of 615 submissions, with only 112 papers accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of about 18%. Among them, only 3 papers were nominated for the Best Paper Award (including the Best Paper), with a research team from Google winning the Best Paper Award, while research teams from Michigan State University, Microsoft, and Carnegie Mellon University received another Best Paper nomination.
